How do I place an order?
The best way to place an order is to send an e-mail to dave@averyexotics.com.  In your e-mail, please indicate the size and quantity of each species you’d like to order.  Please also include your full mailing address in the e-mail, including your postal code.

How can I pay for my order?
Payment can be made via e-mail money transfer, direct deposit, PayPal, cheque, or money order.  If paying by cheque, it must be cleared before the transaction is completed. Cheques are not accepted at shows.  Cash is accepted only at shows.

Where do you ship to?
Shipping is available within Canada.  Please note that at this time we do not ship internationally.

How much does shipping cost?
The cost of shipping depends on what type of shipping method is selected and where the parcel is shipped to.  Our preferred method of shipping is through Air Canada Live Cargo, as this is the fastest and safest method for the animals.

Below are estimates of ground shipping costs*:

Ground shipping takes 2-3 business days on average, depending upon where you are located.

Please inquire for shipping rates to Canadian territories.

* These costs may increase depending on the size and weight of the box.

Do you ship in cold weather?
Yes, we do offer shipping during the colder months.  Winter shipping requires the purchase of an insulated box and one or more heat packs for $15.  This charge is in addition to standard shipping fees.

Do you have a live arrival guarantee?
Yes, we do guarantee live arrival.  In the event that an animal is D.O.A. (dead on arrival), please send an e-mail to dave@averyexotics.com to make arrangements to have the animals replaced or a credit provided.  Please note that shipping fees must be paid again before replacement animals are shipped.  Photographs of any animals that are dead on arrival may be requested. 

We offer a 7-day health guarantee on all animals sold.  In the event that an animal dies after this time period, no replacement or credit will be offered.

Please note that if an incorrect mailing address is given, or if nobody is available to receive or pick up the package on the day it arrives, the live arrival guarantee is void.

I have some animals for sale.  Are you interested in purchasing them?
Trades, credit, or cash may be offered depending on the species, quantity, and asking price.  We also accept mature males for breeding loans.  Please send an e-mail to dave@averyexotics.com for further inquiries.

Do you do educational presentations?
Since its inception, Avery Exotics has done a variety of educational presentations, from elementary school classes to university audiences.  Please inquire for rates and availability.  A minimum of 2 weeks notice is required to book a presentation.

Can I buy a gift certificate?

Yes, gift certificates are available in any denomination.  Please send an e-mail to dave@averyexotics.com if you would like to purchase a gift certificate.
